Electronics graduate from NIT Trichy (2012 batch), Software Engineer by passion. Been obsessed with building software since the time I was introduced to it when I was 14. I consider myself very lucky that the world pays handsomely for what I enjoy building. My code is my art. I admire it, I keep trying to improve what I've built.
Earlier, I joined Wingman (YC S19) as a Founding Engineer, contributed to building a significant portion of backend infrastructure and engineering team. As a part of Clari after Wingman's acquisition helped the product, team and its members grow. Onboarded number of Clari's enterprise customers quickly and smoothly.
Before Wingman I built web services (Google Mapmaker and Directi Talk.to), and data processing pipeline as part of Google Knowledge Graph. I also had started a travellers hostel in my hometown Pondicherry, it ran profitably for 2 years and 3 months, shut down after COVID19.
I'm in general curious about everything. My interest goes by this preference order: software, general engineering, politics, business, economics, travel, and the rest.
Handled smooth growth of backend team and systems to handle significant product usage growth after Clari's acquisition of Wingman. Helped team ramp up to matured processes that are required at late stage startup. Helped team build exciting new AI features and grow in their careers.
Hiring developers, managed priorities for team in early stage dynamic product, helping team fix tech debt.
Built significant part of Wingman backend including: real-time call processing and suggestion delivery system, insights extraction system, external REST API and integration system that brings in data from CRMs, calendars and dialers. Built internal tools to automate processes. AWS admin, managed kubernetes infrastructure, mongoDB admin, migrated from GCP to AWS.
Built Pondicherry's first tourist hostel, ran it operationally profitable in a rented building until COVID lockdown.
Migrated the batch worry metrics (preliminary analysis of all data that goes into Google's Knowledge Graph) report generation to a live system. Improved triggering/retries of RefX model building for Data Experiments, improved reports and upgraded lateral experiments.
Migrated user preferences data to more secure storage without disruption to live service. Built widgets for editing data, shortcuts support, category index for Mapmaker v2. Set up mapmaker sandboxes for development and testing. Built internal system that queries Googlers db and publishes birthday cards on internal home page.
Talk.to application allows users to have multiple chat accounts (FB, Google) in one application. Worked on improving error reporting and improving roaster performance of Talk.to client.
Interactive web applications and development tools built for developers and general users. Includes various utilities and experimental projects showcasing different technologies.
AI-powered word game that challenges players to describe words without using forbidden terms. Features intelligent hint generation and multiplayer modes.
